Thanks.

Problem with cities like BLR is that majority of people are from outside for work and mostly they don't want to settle down here (like me). Due to this, they try to make noise (like me) rather than contributing to make city better. My apology to make issue too big from last 3 months.

Regarding auto, I never experienced similar in Mumbai, Ahemdabad or Delhi (and many small cities, but that is not case there..) yet. This is one thing where BLR need to do something.

Yeah, I know about Chennai Rickshaw Stories from many friends and blogs :)

And yes, best thing in BLR is weather. It rocks :) Mumbai is too humid and rain is pain (well, not as much as CCU or MAA!), Ahemdabad is too hot during summer.

Two side of coin and its life :)

May be I should have give some more time to judge the city, but its too late now. Sometime we need to take hard decisions and sometime we need to leave selfish nature (I am talking about me!).

Ciao. Keep visiting. Thanks a lot for healthy discussion. Thanks for reading my poor English and horrible grammar!

First thanks for answering with a open mind , reading your initial entry I assumed something else but this clears it up that you respect the place and culture . It was more of a discussion then a flame war that we are so used to on the Internet :-).

As far as your questions here is my take ...

Well the issue is not something that can be solved within a short time , looking at it from outside I can see that there have been some efforts but we have to realize that it is India and things are going to move at a very slow pace ..

As far as your favorite cities I have not been there so I do not know much but I am pretty sure they have their own set of problems and since you are used to it you do not see them but I don't think I can survive in Mumbai for long time especially the train rides and the rush and the weather :-) .

as far as rickshaw believe me its the same in most of the places (have you been to chennai and tried finding an auto there ?) and some of the cab drivers here in the US are pretty rude ...I can totally understand about your fears of what will happen if your wife comes here ..well change is always difficult and I have seen people from other countries come and stay in bangalore and believe me its very difficult for them but there is no easy answer , that depends on each individual but you will find the answer only when she comes here and starts living there ...the first few months when me and my wife moved to US was pretty bad but we got used to that once the surrounding became familiar .

Best of luck with your search for a change hope you find what you want .

Agree that everyone knows about the issues, has anyone tried to solve it?

My favorite cities: Ahemdabad, Mumbai :)

No, I really didn't know or no one cared (or dared?) about it to told me that situation will be such horrible here. I came here for couple of time but it was great time as Foss.in speaker with 5* treatment from great foss.in team!

Oh hell, you know that I am working with lots of Kannada people. Yes, my team is mixture of entire Indian culture -- Gujarati, Bangla, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Marathi. I love to work with them and have no complain about culture here!

I can work with Kannada people or Kazakh people -- no issue with it.

But, I can't work within city where every rickshaw people denied to come the place you want go. I am thinking if this happen to my wife (she is from Mumbai) at time when I am not with her (and little Kavin is with her..), she will cry!

I am only looking for change due to city where I can't adjust anymore due to many reasons posted in my previous various blog entries plus some reason I can't give here, not because of people here surrounded by me (Best friends are here!).

Best Luck BLR. Hope that someday, it will be best city. No doubt, I loved lots of beer shops here ;)

I don't think I said bangalore is the best city or its ready for outside people or whatever you assumed from the comment ..everyone knows about the problems in bangalore and more so for people who have been living there for a long time we know how crazy it has become .

In your view which city in India do you think has all the facilities that you want ?.

So if you think you are paying for staying here then you are paying such a big amount for something you dont like . Did you not know about these things before you moved to bangalore ?

As far as your comment about us changing our attitude ..well it seems you don't like the city , you don't like the attitude of the people and the Irony is you work for a bangalore based company (Comat) in bangalore which has a lot of kannada people working there (or at least it used to be like that ). So what kind of change are you looking at ?.

Thanks for encouragement.

If you are good host, you are not letting living us for free, we are paying for it!

I still feel that BLR is not yet ready for outside people. You people need to change your attitude towards guests first.

BLR still needs good work on basic infrastructure, for example it took 30 minutes for coming down to office (Richmond Road) from Ulsoor (From Trinity Circle) because one lorry was fell side of road on Richmond road yesterday night!

Making more malls, offices and cinema doesn't make good city.

If BLR sucks why are you still here ?. Remember this city is feeding you and your family and its not like you are doing bangalore any service by staying here ..In short if you dont like bangalore go back to wherever you came from it will be good for those of us who like BLR ..Also notice that I did not say anything bad against your city or community just because you said something about the place I like , that is in my view the attitude of bangalorean's we are good hosts and maybe thats one of the reason why our city is becoming like this ..It is comment like yours that justify action of what MNS is doing in Maharastra .

Interesting ! And I though only my bathroom at BLR is that dark ! No seriously, why can't home owners design their houses using a little brain ! And yes, I agree, BLR sucks ... I hate the day I decided to come here and hopefully will be out of this place soon :-)
