Patches are most welcome from Developers (I was told to not ask patches from users. Thanks!)
And, I still don’t have Debian machine. The option is to get al-cheapo ASUS eee PC quickly to start whatever Debian work I can do or my dream is to wait and have Macbook

just to clarify my position: I think that simply defaulting to request a patch is not the right way to go: you didn’t mention you can’t cope with the bug because you don’t have a Debian machine *before* I raised severity, and waiting 15 months to only think about fixing a simple bug is not nice. And Debian doesn’t see a new upstream release since 2005 (from PTS) so waiting for a new one fixing this bug it’s not the best way.
That’s all IMVHO.
