Ahmedabad Office Visit
* Even it was short notice, I got ticket (last ticket in Bhavanagar Express) luckily! Thanks to our receptionist Rochelle! Reached early in the morning on Friday and again it was headache to get rickshaw with meter working properly! I have to pay 50 Rs (Standard rate for any place for stranger
). We have got nice guest home at Ahmedabad. With warm welcome, my all usual weakness from traveling went away in seconds. Took some pictures from 8th floor. Buildings, Houses, Peacocks!
* Day started with meeting, thank God, it was really good meeting than our imagination from previous experiences. Fixed some technical issues. And then we went to our new office. Awesome furniture, spacious area and yes, very good connectivity
Again, went to GVP and came back late evening. Ah, before that, Ashok helped me to book tickets for Freed.in! Again thanks to Rochelle and of course Ashok. You rocks man! We then visited Reliance Fresh near Vijay Char Rasta. Damn good (and cheap) vegetables and food things.
* Nirav came early in the morning. Had nice tea and breakfast. Office and GVP visits. Nice trip so far, except my wifi in laptop, didn’t worked. Came back in Shatabdi Express yesterday night.
* How can I forgot to say thanks to Komalbhabhi for nice food
At Home
* So, I am at /home after almost one month of terrible hot experience at Ahemdabad. I am feeling too cool here at Mumbai! I have done almost nothing till now expect eating well and healthy food (Now, I hate cheese sandwitch, Masala Dhonsa and Softdrinks — too much!). Good time with K is ongoing.. I will be back to Ahemdabad on Wednesday. Before that there is short visit to Pune is in plan too
Some pictures of happy times!
LUGA Meet 0
* Finally, we did it!
List of people who attended meet:
1. Hardik Dalwadi (DeepRoot Linux)
2. Kartik Mistry (Magnet, Utkarsh)
3. Isaac Praveen (DeepRoot Linux)
We met at CCD near LD College of Engineering around 7 PM yesterday. It was surprise that only 3 people actually turned up at meet (I though of atleast 6/7 people). But, since this was Meeting Zero, Never mind!
We discussed lots of things from Debian Etch release to DeepRootLinux. Hardik showed fancy Beryl and Deepofix working. I handed over Debian Etch Multiarch CD, We tried to install it over VMware but couldn’t get it working
We also talked about attending some next cool events and involving student in LUGA. For any LUG, it is vital to have student base. Well, we had nice coffee too (Thanks to Hardik/Abhas Abhinav for sponsoring it!)
And yes, we had nice BSOD when Hardik tried to show me Windows XP Embedded! I took chance to get its video too!!

So, if you are at/near Ahmedabad or Gandhinagar and care and dare to travel on Sundays, you are most welcome!
Now this is strange!
* 38 C is OK but, now this is strange!!

Too hot 2
Too hot
* Nearly boiling temperature here at Ahmedabad right now. Well, not that much but you can see..
* Like March Ending season, I am reviewing my all packages and doing updates daily 1 package. Hope that this will make things better
I still need to steal time to answer PP questions
back!
* I am back!
* Caught ‘Link Way’ bus to Palanpur from Malad (E) on Republic Day night. And it was my first experience to travel such a long by bus. Bus stopped at various cheap hotels where FOOD was -3 quality so, I only took ‘Pepsi and Chips’.
* At 9 am we reached at Palanpur. Grand Ma’s health was not good. We (Me and Chandreshbhai) just took tea and caught bus for Ambaji. Found a hotel near bus stand. And found a venue too! Good thing was that there was too much distance between food court and exhibition area! So, it helped me a lot!
* Got some valuable feedbacks from various school teachers and principals about both product and marketing. Seen people – how to market product in rural area and lots more. Well, I am not marketing man by heart but this exhibition was different thing
* Found a mobile in our stole! It was nice temptation for me as no one was around and I don’t have mobile! I kept it but I was feeling badly. Called my brother and finally gave mobile to organizer people. It was one of my happiest moments!
* Went to Palanpur on Sunday. Enjoyed nice scenery during traveling but missed camera
So, finally nice digicam is now one step up than mobile in my private wish-list!
* Met brother and mom and some friends. Again, bus travel to Ahmadabad in next morning. At noon, I have no work to do. It was Crossword time! Got following books,
1. Idli, Orchid and I (ઈડલી, ઓર્કિડ અને હું) – V.V.Kamath
2. Animal Farm – George Orwell
3. Man ni vat (મનની વાત) – Sudha Murti
4. Selected Quotes – Navneet Pub.
Also, read ‘Linux Format’ and ‘Linux Journal’ at reading facility there (Thats why I love Crossword!).
* Finished 1st and 3rd book during today’s travel in ‘Gujarat Express’.
